The department “Technology, design of products and goods” continues to develop international and scientific relations with the major educational and scientific centers of other countries. Within the framework of international memorandums with Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry, Kyrgyz Technical University named after Razzakov I., Bukhara Technological Institute of Food and Light Industry (BUHTIPiLP, Bukhara, Uzbekistan), Russian Correspondence Institute of Textile and Light Industry, Novosibirsk Technological Institute of the Moscow State University of Design and Technology (branch, Novosibirsk, Russia) and the European Institute of Design (IED, Milan, Italy), Shanghai University of Design (Shanghai, China), Moscow State University of Technology and Management named after K.G. Razumovskiy (Moscow, Russia), Moscow State University of Design and Technology (Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia), Technological University of Tajikistan (Dushanbe, Tajikistan), and Keimyung University (Daegu, South Korea).
In the framework of the memorandum, between the Moscow State University of Design and Technology, the textile institute of. A.N. Kosygin and ATU are currently working on the integration of working curricula for the implementation of the double-diploma program in the specialty 6M072600 – Technology and Design of Light Industry Products.
In 2017-2018, was concluded a memorandum between the University of Applied Sciences Hof (Germany) and Shandong University of Art and Design (PRC).
In order to develop the educational process for the last academic year, were invited doctors of technical sciences, professors from Hungary and Russia who taught the following disciplines: “Methods of engineering design of light industry products”, “Methods and means of research”, “Modeling and optimization of technological processes of garments”.
